1. Platform Overview

StrangerLine is a digital communication platform designed to enable conversations between users. The Platform provides technical tools that allow users to connect, communicate, and interact in real time through text, audio, and video features.

All interactions on StrangerLine occur directly between users. Users independently decide how they engage, what they share, and with whom they interact. Each user remains solely responsible for their conduct, communications, and decisions while using the Platform.

2. Eligibility and Intended Use

StrangerLine is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.

By using the Platform, you represent that:

• You meet the age requirement applicable in your jurisdiction, and
• You are legally permitted to access and use the Platform under applicable laws.

StrangerLine relies on user-declared information and does not actively verify age. Any misrepresentation regarding eligibility or age is the sole responsibility of the user and, where applicable, their parent or legal guardian.

If StrangerLine becomes aware that a user does not meet eligibility requirements, access may be restricted or terminated, and associated data may be removed in accordance with applicable laws.

3. User Identity and Display Names

Users may be identified on the Platform by:

• A name of their choosing, or
• A randomly generated name assigned by the Platform

Display names are used solely for identification within the Platform and do not imply identity verification. Users are responsible for ensuring that chosen names do not:

• Impersonate another person or entity
• Mislead other users
• Violate applicable laws or third-party rights

StrangerLine reserves the right to modify or restrict display names that violate these Terms or Community Guidelines.

4. Accounts, Guest Access, and Security

StrangerLine may be accessed through registered accounts or guest access, depending on platform features.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information where required
• Safeguard access to your device and credentials
• Accept responsibility for activity conducted through your access

Guest Accounts

Guest accounts are temporary by design. Guest accounts and associated data are automatically and permanently deleted after seven (7) days of inactivity. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

StrangerLine is not responsible for data loss resulting from inactivity-based deletion.

5. Platform Features and Permissions

StrangerLine may offer features including:

• Text-based messaging
• Audio notes
• Audio and video calling
• Filters based on preferences such as age, gender, or country
• A nearby strangers feature based on location

Certain features require user permission, including access to:

• Microphone
• Camera
• Device or browser location

Permissions are requested only when necessary and may be denied or revoked by the user at any time through device or browser settings. Some features may not function without required permissions.

6. User Conduct

You agree to use StrangerLine in a lawful, respectful, and responsible manner.

You must not engage in conduct that:

• Harasses, threatens, abuses, or intimidates others
• Involves exploitation, harm, or sexual content involving minors
• Impersonates individuals or entities
• Facilitates fraud, deception, or financial exploitation
• Violates privacy, intellectual property, or legal rights
• Attempts to bypass platform safeguards or restrictions

You acknowledge that interactions are voluntary and that you control the extent of information you choose to share.

7. User-Generated Content

Users may create, transmit, or share content including text, audio, images, or video ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Platform, you grant StrangerLine a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and transmit such content solely for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Platform.

You remain solely responsible for:

• The content you share
• Its legality and appropriateness
• Any consequences arising from disclosure or interaction

Exposure to objectionable or inappropriate content is an inherent risk of online communication.

8. Reporting and Review

StrangerLine provides a reporting mechanism that allows users to flag content or behavior they believe may violate these Terms or Community Guidelines.

Important clarifications:

• Reporting is optional and user-initiated
• Reviews are conducted at StrangerLine's discretion
• No guarantee is made regarding action, timing, or outcome
• Not all reports result in enforcement

Submitting false, abusive, or malicious reports may result in action against the reporting user. The availability of reporting tools does not create a duty of care or guarantee of safety.

9. Enforcement and Access Restrictions

StrangerLine reserves the right to take appropriate action, including restricting access, suspending features, terminating accounts, or removing content, where deemed necessary to enforce these Terms or comply with legal obligations.

Such actions may be taken with or without prior notice and do not entitle users to refunds or compensation.

10. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Users may request deletion of their account at any time through available platform features or by contacting support.

Upon account deletion:

• Personal data associated with the account is permanently removed from active systems
• Profile information, preferences, and identifiers are deleted
• Deletion is irreversible once completed

Certain limited data may be retained temporarily where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to address security or abuse concerns.

11. Service Availability and Disclaimers

StrangerLine is provided on an "as available" basis. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain functionality, uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

StrangerLine makes no assurances regarding:

• User behavior or interactions
• Outcomes of conversations
• Continuous availability

Online interactions involve inherent risks, which users knowingly accept.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StrangerLine shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Emotional distress or dissatisfaction
• Loss of data, revenue, or opportunities
• Disputes arising between users

Where liability cannot be excluded, it shall be limited to the amount paid by the user to StrangerLine in the preceding thirty (30) days, or zero where no payment was made.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StrangerLine, its operators, affiliates, and personnel from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your interactions with other users
• Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws
• Your User Content

14. Third-Party Services

The Platform may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, communications, or payments. StrangerLine is not responsible for the independent practices or failures of such third parties.

15. Modifications to These Terms

StrangerLine may update these Terms periodically. Updated versions will be posted on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
